Originally from Germany, Malte moved to the US on a basketball scholarship to Pepperdine University. After graduating as valedictorian, he began his entrepreneurial journey by launching a fundraising app called Givrr and went on to receive an MBA from Stanford University.
Malte was named a HousingWire Rising Star in 2021, the Rising Entrepreneur of the Year in 2022 by dot.LA, and a HousingWire Tech Trendsetter in 2023. He’s a dedicated rescue dog dad, the author of Play for Something (a North Star for student-athletes), and a finisher of a half Ironman.
